Jessica has been a trainee solicitor at Murrays Partnership Solicitors since March 2016. Prior to becoming a trainee, Jessica was a paralegal at the firm. As a trainee, Jessica assists in case preparation and also running her own cases. Jessica has worked on a number of cases including trial preparation for serious cases including rape and murder.
Since 2014, Jessica has been a qualified Police Station Legal Representative. At the Police Station, Jessica has advised on a variety of offences ranging from complex drug supply offences, rape and serious assaults to shoplifting and road traffic offences. She is determined to focus on client care and ensures every client who she represents at a Police Station receives their legal rights. She has no qualms in dealing firmly with any violations or inappropriate behaviour made by Police Officers or Custody. Jessica is caring and understanding towards every person she advises. Jessica takes time to ensure an individual is aware of their rights, understands the allegation made against them, the procedure they are experiencing and the reasons behind her advice.
Jessica has defended a wide range of clients including military service personnel and looks forward to increasing her experience in Military Law.
Jessica is a keen Arsenal fan despite the emotional turmoil they create. She attended the School of Oriental and African Studies where she obtained a Bachelors (Hons) degree in History and South Asian Studies. Jessica undertook her Graduate Diploma in Law and the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, Bloomsbury. Jessica chose to qualify as a solicitor as she has always enjoyed research and has a strong interest in human rights. Jessica obtained her professional qualification as Police Station Legal Representative at Cardiff Law School.
